Workshops

I am prepared to travel to any country in the world to offer the following workshops.
In 2018, I gave workshops to teachers and to parents in Algeria, UK, Nepal, India, Oman, Kashmir, Turkey, Thailand and Australia.

The duration of the following workshops is a suggestion and can be extended.

Course 1 Introduction to a New Teaching Method. 2 hours.

Explaining the real cause of differences in student ability, and how the teacher can dramatically improve the interaction and competence of all of their students.
An introduction to The Andersen Attitude of Teaching and why it is becoming so quickly adopted by teachers.

Course 2 The Art of Teaching. A One Day Course. with certificate.

An introduction to the work of Roy Andersen, and a clear understanding of how the student learns, how the teacher can improve their skills, and how they can improve the performance ability of their students to help them get better grades. The Toxic World of Our Children, Teaching Methods, The Power of Storytelling, How to Inspire Students to Want to Learn, are some of the issues discussed.

Course 3 The Art of Teaching. A Two Day Course, with certificate.

A discussion on genetics and neurology to understand what the child really inherits that allows their intelligence to develop and why school does not work on intelligence. School works on language and the ability of the student at any age is seated in their emotional stability and developed language skills. Once. this is clearly understood by the teacher, they will realize the need for a totally different way to teach and so why and how we are failing to provide our children with the necessary skills of language they will need to defend the concept of democracy in a world rapidly being dominated by artificial intelligence.

Course 4. Motivating Students and Explaining Exam Strategies. 2 hours

The biggest disaster that is effecting student ability is the smart phone. This and associated game playing pulls them into a world that is not real. Their minds live in a world of simple entertainment, and with no experience of what work is like, our students are failing to understand the drive that is necessary to do their best in their lessons. Homework is left, or half done, and their attention in lessons is only partial. Roy explains to students of all ages how to have fun in school and why they must, if they don’t want to be left behind in the race for good jobs and a secure future.

Course 5 Parents: The Art of Better Parenting. 2 hours

80% of parent’s do not realize the real importance of the guidance and direction they give to their children, and then do not understand why their child fails in school! Children who are raised on storytelling and good environmental guidance know some 30 million words by the age of 4, more than lesser raised children. This helps those children better to understand the rules of school when they begin it, and it gives them an advantage they seldom lose as school becomes increasingly competitive for all of them. Why is storytelling so important?

Course 5 Redefining Intelligence. 2 hours.

An in-depth presentation of why we are wrong to think intelligence is an inherited feature and the political arguments so used to convince society that intelligence has a social connotation. The Brain Environment Complex is a new theory that seeks to redesign our understanding of the causes of human ability and why we need to consider this in view of the development of artificial intelligence.

Course 6 The Probable Development of the 21st Century. 2 hours.

The reality is that as we move through our daily life, of work, home, dinner and TV, we are totally ignorant of the way our lives are being shaped by the development of technology. The presentation will consider the world our children will live in and the very great social stresses caused by such technology taking jobs and the effects of mass movements of people caused by climatic disasters they must face and how we could better prepare them for the life they will face.
